Dr. Brad R. Dunn, O.D.
-
is a highly qualified optometrist that has been serving the
Dupont Area for close to four years here at Dupont Optical. He is the
Lead Optometrist at Kaiser Permanente's North Capitol Medical Center
also serving our downtown community. He practiced optometry 10 years
with the US Air Force with a four year assignment to the Air Force's
largest medical center in San Antonio, TX. He was an instructor to the
Air Force's Ophthalmology Residency Program and on staff of the Air
Force's School of Aerospace Medicine. Dr. Dunn completed two overseas
assignments as Chief of Optometric Services. His final assignment in
the Air Force placed him as one of only two Air Force optometrists on
active flying status and on the consulting staff to the Surgeon
General's Office.
Dr. Dunn grew up in Burtonsville, Maryland,
received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Gettysburg College in
Pennsylvania. He received his doctoral degree with honors from the
Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
Dr. Dunn provides
comprehensive primary eye care examinations and contact lens fittings.
He has extensive experience co-managing refractive surgery patients and
managing ocular conditions particularly for patients with contact lens
complications. He has published a number of papers with a primary focus
on ocular safety. His eye examinations are comprehensive and thorough.
Dr. Dunn applies his extensive experience towards providing each of
his patients individualized and personable care.
